With the Revit model in its beginning stages, I have a better idea of my space allocation. My stairs, elevators, and back of house in the cafeteria are taking up less space than I originally accounted for in my schematic plans.

Egress continues to be a primary focus due to the different occupancies. All the spaces require two forms of egress. For the upstairs areas a shared stairwell is available for egress. Part of the research this weekend will include making sure this shared egress stair meets all size and distance requirements.

Another focus for this week is developing 3-dimensional perspectives and elevations. The grand stairwell and entrance lobby are two locations that heavily rely on a 2-level ceiling height. The sketches show preliminary ideas for evolving the spaces to become engaging environments.
By next week I plan on having a more detailed layout of the office and cafeteria.
